Welcome to Monroe County Michigan, safe, casual and comfortable living for you and your family.
A brief stay in our neighborhood will have you convinced that Monroe is all about convenience. The bulk of it's residents work outside the community with a quick drive to Toledo, Detroit, Ann Arbor and Dearborn. No matter where you settle, you'll find easy access to one of three major expressways. Even still, Monroe's interior is country living and clean suburbs at their finest. On your days off you can leave the big city traffic and industry behind you.
You'll find a wide selection of schools to choose from for your children's education and an abundance of parks and recreational venues for those weekend and summer jaunts. Monroe is home to Michigan's most heavily visited state park with a beach shoreline, bike and walking trails and bird watching throughout the year. Many of the smaller parks have been recently updated to include skating parks with up-to-date structors for those big tricks. You'll also find the skating rink enjoyable as well as the go-kart track, museum, conoing, orchards, and lets not forget the famous Monroe County Fair, a destination for travelers from all over the region.
Water is a way of life for many, so take advantage of one of our fine marinas or public boat launches for quick access to Lake Erie. Enjoy excellent bass, walley and perch fishing. Hire a charter, through a boat party or just enjoy the fresh lake breeze.
If golf is your game then you've come to the right place. Would you believe that there are over two dozen golf courses in Monroe County? We're the golf capital of Michigan and surely there's a course or a club that meets your expectations.
The list of benefits that Monroe's communites provide is almost never ending, especially as we continue to grow and develop. I urge you to visit our fine corner of Michigan and see for yourself. Get out there, explore, and by all means contact me for more information. As a lifelong resident, and a mother, I'll surely be able to point you in the right direction concerning any aspect of the community. |
